11. The author(s) confirm(s) that they are aware of the terms of these regulations and accept them when submitting an article for publication.

12. Reviewing rules

The rules for reviewing articles in the scientific journal "JoFA" are in accordance with good practice in review procedures in science, published by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

All articles are pre-reviewed by professors who are members of the Editorial Board.

Reviewers from outside the unit where the author is affiliated are appointed to prepare the reviews.

Reviewing is done on a 'double-blind review' basis: full mutual anonymity is maintained between the Author(s) of the text and the Reviewers.

The names of Reviewers of individual articles or issues are not disclosed, and a list of Reviewers who have collaborated with the Editorial Board in that year is published in the second issue on the journal's website.

The review shall be in writing on prepared forms with information on the deadline for delivery of the review to the Editor and shall contain the Reviewer's unequivocal conclusion on whether to accept the article for publication or to reject it, with justification and suggestions for possible corrections.

The author receives the review for review and is assured anonymous contact with the Reviewer through the Editor. In contentious situations, an additional Reviewer is appointed.

The review process can take up to four months.

13. Appeals: we accept appeals to the Editors' decisions. However, strong evidence or new data/information will need to be presented in response to comments from the Editor and reviewers. The Editors do not expect frequent appeals, but in the situation of receiving a rejection decision, we recommend sending the manuscript to another journal. The decision to reject a manuscript for publication often involves an Editor's assessment of priority/validity. These are issues that authors cannot usually address through an appeal. Please address an appeal against a journal Editor's decision to the journal's Editorial Board.

14. Withdrawal of an article: Journal Editors will consider withdrawing an article if:
They have clear evidence that the findings are unreliable either as a result of a serious error (e.g. miscalculation or experimental error), or as a result of fabrication (e.g. data) or falsification (e.g. image manipulation).
This constitutes plagiarism.
The results have been previously published elsewhere and the authors have not provided adequate attribution to previous sources, disclosed them to the Editor, or provided permission for republication or justification.
Contains material or data that the authors were not authorised to publish.
Violates copyright or has another serious legal problem (e.g. defamation, invasion of privacy).
Reports unethical research and/or violates ethical rules for conducting research.
The author(s) did not disclose a major competing interest (conflict of interest) that, in the opinion of the Editor, would have a significant impact on the interpretation of the paper or recommendations by the Editors and/or reviewers.
There is evidence of any other breach of the journal's editorial policy.
A notice of withdrawal of publication entitled "Withdrawal: [title of paper]" signed by the Editor and, where appropriate, by the authors, is published in the next issue of the journal and included in the table of contents.
