Morphea en coup de sabre i połowiczy zanik twarzy w ujęciu interdyscyplinarnym

Wzrost stopnia asymetrii fluktuacyjnej towarzyszy m.in. takim jednostkom chorobowym, jak morphea en coup de sabre (morphea ECDS) czy zespół Parry‑Romberga (PHA). Pacjenci nimi obciążeni borykają się nie tylko z defektami natury dermatologicznej, lecz również z objawami neurologicznymi, reumatologicznymi, ortopedycznymi, okulistycznymi czy stomatologicznymi. Zaburzenia morfologiczno‑czynnościowe i związane z nimi deformacje twarzoczaszki generują niejednokrotnie problemy natury psychospołecznej. Złożoność zagadnień wymagających rozwiązania przemawia za nieodzownością podejmowania działań interdyscyplinarnych, mających na celu opracowanie obiektywnych protokołów diagnostyczno‑terapeutycznych, przywrócenie (szczególnie u pacjentów pediatrycznych) jak najbardziej zbliżonych do prawidłowych wzorców rozwojowych, zahamowanie aktywnej fazy choroby i podjęcie efektywnych, a także satysfakcjonujących estetycznie działań.
