Abstrakt

Promieniowanie słoneczne jest ważnym czynnikiem wpływającym na stan zdrowia człowieka. Pod wpływem promieniowania ultrafioletowego UVR dochodzi do syntezy witaminy D w skórze, jednak jego następstwem negatywnym jest możliwość wystąpienia poparzeń skóry, fotostarzenia, uszkodzeń struktur komórkowych, w tym łańcucha DNA, a wtórnie nowotworzenia. Ochrona przed promieniowaniem słonecznym może być zapewniona poprzez stosowanie kremów z filtrami UV, odzieży wraz z dodatkami oraz unikanie nadmiernej ekspozycji na słońce. W pracy zostały przedstawione aktualne zasady stosowania fotoprotekcji w oparciu o aktualne dane literaturowe.
